The Conuma Lodge is located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island in the prime fishing grounds of Nootka Sound. Our resort homes are situated on 17 acres of spectacular waterfront property just minutes from Friendly Cove and the prime fishing grounds of Nootka Sound. If you prefer what open-water fishing has to offer, pristine Pacific fishing is at our “dock-step”, as well.
Both the Chinook and Conuma lodges will greet you with a “home away from home” atmosphere providing plenty of amenities for you to create your fishing adventures in style. Our unique accommodations are set up for you to bring your own boat (BYOB), provisions, and gear allowing you the enjoyment of creating your own schedule.

RENTAL POLICIES

A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation. Balance is due by June 15th.

Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am.

Cancellations between May 1st and June 15th will be subject to deposit forfeiture.

Getting Here
To get to the Chinook Lodge, you will need a boat launched at Gold River. Or you can contact Air Nootka, they have been flying in the area for over 30 years. They can fly your group from just about anywhere, but have scheduled flights from Gold River to different areas in Nootka Sound daily. A scenic flight is putting it lightly, the view of Nootka sound from the air is incredible.

Fishing
If your going to brave it without a guide, you must first visit the Fisheries and Oceans Canada website to check all fishing regulations prior to your trip. We want all of our cutomers to be aware of all daily limits, no catch zones, and in season changes. We need to follow these laws and regulations so our lodge and the surrounding wildlife stocks can be enjoyed for generations to come.
GUIDED FISHING
Where's the best place to fish? At what time? With what lure? What speed? Depth? Color? Flasher? Leader length? Ahh...too many questions to answer, and with changing tide and weather conditions, isn't it better to get someone who knows these waters better than the back of their hand. At Marvinas we offer experienced guides for hire. It is done in larger, comfortable boats, with extremely knowledgeable staff. We highly recommend a guide, especially for your first trip to Nootka, to help you make the most of your adventure. Increase your odds, and your safety, hire a guide.
